This summer, I have repaired several old windows.
I have installed metal covers over several of the basement windows.
I have removed a weathered gate and put on a new wooden one.
I have primed two barns.
I have replaced hinges and put on new drawer pulls on many doors.
I have replaced 2 barn lightbulbs.
I have installed new shutters on a barn and painted that barn.
(You can see some of these projects in our first YouTube video.)
Of course, I haven’t painted it yet, so you won’t see a picture.
This year, I am taking money in exchange for things that are free, so I am doing this mostly with stuff that I’ve received in swaps, etc.
This includes things like flower seeds, candy, and magnets.
Other things that you can do that will help this farm, even if you aren’t able to help with trades or donations are giving away things like: books, gift certificates, gift bags, bread mix, hot cocoa mix, soda, etc. to trade or give as gifts.
This includes things like coffee mugs, magnets, soap, scented candles, etc.
My kids have many talents.
They have all done activities in school.
Here are some of the things they have done.
My oldest daughter, is graduating from high school next year.
She takes piano lessons and plays clarinet in the band.
Her clarinet is her favorite gift of all the gifts she’s gotten in the past six years.
My two oldest kids work in our church’s primary program in primary (children’s) Sunday school.
She and her brother will be helping to sing and play on the primary songs in the program.
She works in the nursery and in the sewing room helping me with sewing projects for our homeschool co – op.
She also does all the shipping and payments for the craft projects that we’re selling.
Today, she had sewing club and her class made money.
One girl made two little valances that we’ll use in the boys’ bathroom.
repair walkways, do shavings for new roof, re – plumb the bathroom, cut new area rug, paint kitchen cabinets, etc.
Checkup furnace and replace furnace filters.
new water heater.
new windows.
But I know it can be done.
Your kids are learning responsibility.
You’re learning to negotiate with a home contractor.
You’re getting things done that you might not able to do yourself call local AZA General Contractor for for home maintenance to get it done by professionals.
I am going to try to finish my to – do list tonight, so that I can get up in the morning and do something.
Here are the things I want to do today:
This is a list of things I want to do this week.
I’m sure I’ll get the other things done too, but these things take the longest and are harder to accomplish.
Don’t ask me what I’ve done every day.
Roofing, re – plumbing, kitchen cabinets, and putting up new shutters and blinds.
I have been writing in my blog.
I don’t know what to write about.
I need to start keeping a list of things I have to do home maintenance or call local general contractor in Alexandria VA, AZA Home Constructions & General Contractor in DC, MD & VA Areas.
